This is the first weekend after Christmas in July. For those of you still looking for gift or donation ideas, here is a project that is handmade.
Note: Since these bag dolls are made out of plastic bags, they are NOT for children who are too young to understand the risk of suffocation and choking.
Supplies
|
Two (2) plastic bags.
Two (2) fuzzy sticks (pipe cleaners). One (1) felt sheet (flesh color for hands and face). Two (2) different colors of yarn (one color for hair and another for arms and upper body). Scrap material with solid or small designs. Tape Markers (desired colors for eyes and lip). Glue Small scissors |
Instructions
Step Seven
Out of scrap material, make and dress your doll (refer to photograph).
Options
You can buy or make the clothes. You can dress your bag dolls in a desired time period or to your culture or religion.
You can use more fuzzy sticks to add angel or fairy wings.
If you have lost loved ones or friends, you can use photos of those who have departed in place of felt faces. Just cut the faces of photocopied photographs and glue to the bag doll, and keep as memory dolls.
