Think about any excess items and products in your home, do they bring you joy? If not, why keep them? When you go shopping and are considering something new to being home, ask yourself if it will bring you joy? If not, why buy it?
Why not use your tax return to pay off a bill? Or why not try and save your tax refund?
Paying off a bill will give you a little extra funds each month, and just may help lower stress. Or if you choose to save your tax refund, you will have some 911 funds when in need.
Think before you spend your tax refund on something that will give you only a short time of fun and joy. Choose between the joy of an item, or the stress of a bill that you can pay off or down.
We here at a Cup of Coffee With God Vision Ministry, for the 40 days of Lent have given up buying unnecessary items. We surprised ourselves when we walked out of a store yesterday (March 04, 2017) with only snacks on our hands. Of course snacks are not a necessity, nonetheless it was edible that will not sit and stare at us for years while we wonder why we purchased the item in the first place.
Yesterday (March 04, 2017) a homeless person was put in our path and we were able to give one of our gift bags, which I took as a sign from God that I should use the funds saved from not purchasing unnecessary items to make more gift bags.
